Measuring yourself

How to achieve the closest size possible

Ideally have someone who can measure for you to obtain accurate measurements.

Stand straight but relaxed with heels together. If you choose to wear a bra for the wedding day, it is best to measure with this on (or a similar size bra if you have not yet purchased underwear)

Keep the tape snug but not too tight when taking measurements and take them several times over for accuracy.

Equipment Needed: A Clothing Tape Measurer, pen and paper.

  • Bust - Position the measuring tape so that it covers the widest part of your back and the fullest part of your bust

  • Waist - Position the measuring tape at the smallest part of your natural waist- usually located just above the belly button, just below the rib cage.

  • Hips - Position the measuring tape so that it covers the widest part of the hips (see image)

  • Height - Only required for custom. All standard sizes come in the Designers lengths (see below size chart)

Tips on Sizes

Now you have your measurements and looking at the size guide - perhaps you are worried as your measurements fall within different sizes! That is perfectly normal, it is rare to be the exact measurements for a size. Opt for the dress size that fits closest to the largest size according to your measurements.

TIP: It is easier to take a dress in than let it out.

We recommend that you check with your chosen local seamstress, who can advise on the most suitable size for your body measurements.

For Designers Navi Blue, Blunny Bridal, Lussano, Nora Naviona, Royal and Essential

The below measurements are in cm's. The size ordered i.e. a size 46, would arrive in the below measurements. These are not custom measurements and would require alternations by a professional bridal seamstress
